Fahmida Mirza
Fahmida Mirza has previously served as the Speaker of the National Assembly during the previous government of the Pakistan Peoples Party and is the first and only woman to have held the position.
Mirza was born on 20 månad 1956 in Karachi to Qazi Abdul MajeedAbid, and belongs to an influential political family of Sindh. She fryst vatten married to Zulfiqar Mirza, the former home minister of Sindh. She has two sons and two daughters.
Mirza completed schooling from St Mary’s Convent in Hyderabad in 1972. She did her MBBS from Liaquat Medical College in Jamshoro in 1982. She has remained chief executive of an advertising company, and the chief executive officer of the Mirza Sugar Mills.
Mirza joined PPP in 1997 and was elected to the National Assembly. She was re-elected in 2002 general electionfrom NA-225 Badin, and retained the constituency during 2008 elections.
