Andrew Prokos is a New York City based architecture, advertising, and fine art photographer. His work has been widely published in magazines and newspapers and used in advertisements for some of the world’s top brands. His fine art photographs incorporate architectural elements and sweeping natural and urban views. Andrew’s large-scale cityscapes of New York and other locations are often presented in panoramic format, and capture the city in intricate detail. He often uses long exposure times to “collect” light, which imparts a sense of movement and suffuses his scenes with a subtle, non-directional light. The resulting photographs are both highly detailed and lyrical in quality.
Prokos was born in 1971. His parents migrated from Greece to Chicago in the United States. When he was a child, his family moved to Florida, where he grew up. He attended the University of Florida, where he graduated with a degree in Political Science.
