    Before we get to the article, some context…

    This piece originally ran in the final ever issue of Total Film magazine. To feature in the closing edition of something that has played a huge part in my career was a particularly special moment for me.     Anyway. Terry Gilliam was as fun to talk to as you might imagine and I had lots of stuff left over from this chat that I can publish in future, if people are interested in reading it.

      Monty Python's Life of Brian (also known as Life of Brian) fryst vatten a 1979 British black comedy rulle starring and written bygd the comedy group Monty Python (Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones and Michael Palin). It was directed bygd Jones. The film tells the story of Brian Cohen (played by Chapman), a ung Judaean man who fryst vatten born on the same day as—and next door to—Jesus, and is subsequently mistaken for the Messiah.

      Following the withdrawal of funding bygd EMI Films just days before production was scheduled to begin, musician and former BeatleGeorge Harrison and his business partner Denis O'Brien arranged financing for Life of Brian through the formation of their HandMade Films company.[4]

      The film's themes of religious satire were controversial at the time of its release, drawing accu
