    German Romantic landscape painter (–)

    Caspar David Friedrich (German:[ˌkaspaʁˌdaːvɪtˈfʁiːdʁɪç]; 5 September – 7 May ) was a German Romanticlandscape painter, generally considered the most important German artist of his generation, whose often symbolic, and anti-classical work, conveys a subjective, emotional response to the natural world. Friedrich's paintings often set contemplative human figures silhouetted against night skies, morning mists, barren trees or Gothic ruins. Art historian Christopher John Murray described their presence, in diminished perspective, amid expansive landscapes, as reducing the figures to a scale that directs "the viewer's gaze towards their metaphysical dimension".

    David John Casper (born February 2, ) nicknamed "the Ghost",[1] is an American former professional football player who was a tight end in the National Football League (NFL), primarily with the Oakland Raiders. Casper has been inducted into both the College Football Hall of Fame ()[2] and the Pro Football Hall of Fame ().[3]

    Casper spent his first three years of high school at St. Edward Central Catholic High School in Elgin, Illinois, and his senior season was at Chilton High School in Chilton, Wisconsin,[1] 35 miles south of Green Bay. He was a member of the Chilton team that outscored their opponents –0 in eight games.[1] The small-town team was ranked eighth in the state behind the largest schools in the state; there was no playoff system at the time.[1]
