Sharon Eyal was born in Jerusalem and based in France. She danced with the Batsheva Dance Company between 1990- 2008. Eyal served as Associate Artistic Director for Batsheva from 2003–04, and as a House Choreographer for the company from 2005–12. During her time with the company, she created 16 new creations.
In 2005 Eyal started to collaborate with Gai Behar on her creations and the L-E-V company and different projects. During 2009 Eyal began creating pieces for other dance companies around the world. In 2013 Eyal launched L-E-V with her long-time collaborator Gai Behar. Since August 2022, L-E-V is a registered non-profit French Association, basing its activity in France. L-E-V’s repertoire consists of 7 creations.

Biography
Sharon Eyal was born in Jerusalem. From 1990 to 2008 she danced with the Batsheva Dance Company and began to choreograph pieces for that company’s Dancers Create project. Eyal also served as the associate artistic director for Batsheva in 2003 and 2004, and then became the resident choreographer from 2005 to 2012, during which time she created 16 works. In 2005, Eyal began collaborating with Gai Behar. Since 2009, she has created over thirty pieces for international companies, including Bedroom Folk, salt Womb, Feelings and Sara (the Nederland Dance Theatre), Half-Life (Royal Swedish Ballet), Untitled Black and Autodance (GoteborgsOperans Danskompan), Killer Pig and Corps de Walk (Carte Blanche Dance of Norway), Too Beaucoup (Hubbard Street Dance, Chicago), Plafona (Tanzcompagnie Oldenburg), and Soul Chain (Staatstheater Mainz). In 2013, Eyal created her own company L-E-V. In 2018, she was awarded a Der Faust Prize in Germany.

Biography
A stellar Israeli contemporary dance artist, known for her markedly physical approach, bordering the very limits of the dancers’ abilities and enthralling audiences.
Sharon Eyal launched her career as a dancer at the age of 19 by joining the Batsheva Dance Company in Tel Aviv, where also conceived her own choreographies. In 2013, she and her longterm collaborator Gai Behar set up the L-E-V dance company, which has given hundreds of performances.
A sought-after choreographer, she has worked with Sadler’s Wells and the Royal Opera House in London, Nederlands Dans Theater, Jacob’s Pillow, The Joyce Theater in New York, the Montpellier Dance Festival, the Staatsoper Berlin, the Opéra national de Paris, etc. In 2012, she participated in Women Think Next, an international networking event organised by Microsoft. She has also created several choreographies for Dior, under the director Maria Grazia Chiuri.
